We layed low in Lilith Town awaiting the arrival of the reinforcements. A little espionage work was done to gather information on the incoming reinforcements but could not determine much. Ultimately we ended up capturing two Red Guards and killing one while putting the other under Cata’s guard. After the interrogation was complete we boldly marched right up to the warehouse where Fenia and the other Red Guards were waiting. Wispher approached Fenia with a “we don’t really know what’s going on” argument and was able to get a little information out of her before she teleported away. At this point the “Leader” of the stonecutters in this region showed up(The same guy who argued with Malachi on the boat) and leaked a little of our past to us. He mentioned that we were once part of the plan and our power was great. After cautiously chatting a few minutes, we were able to determine that the Stonecutter’s final goal was to return both lands, Woodin and Stont, to one rule, that of the Stonecutters. As noble as it seems there methods are somewhat questionable. He mentioned that this is how it was in the past and the stonecutter’s were bringing it back. We were once again requested to side with the Stonecutters and promised our Keep would not be attacked in the upcoming war. Our party took a pow-wow and reasoned out that the Stonecutter’s have done nothing but lie to us since the beginning, and we were not about to put our faith in an orginization that was determined to play us like fools.
We attacked him and took him down. Afterwards we left town and returned at Dusk to intercept the reinforcements. Ridd had a little mishap and teleported us a tad off target, putting us right in the middle of the dock. After several minutes a boat was seen approaching from the distance. Things got a little crazy at this point, a magic door opened up and a small group of Redguards led by the Cleric and Sorcerer came out and teleported to the boat. We quickly buffed up and Ridd successfully got us on the boat. Our team quickly assessed the situation and hit the deck running. Mordoc quickly hovered to the Crow’s nest and began the assault from up high. Wispher met the first rush with insane physicall prowess, quickly dispatching all that rushed us. Ridd let loose several fireballs making short work of several sailors rushing into the battle. The three brave adventurers fired off many devasting spells leaving the Stonecutters and Redguards in quite a dissaray. Mordoc and the demons destroyed the Crow’s nest in their back and forth exchange of power. Mordoc jumped to the ground just in time and took out a sailor. Wispher, seeing an opening to the mage, quickly charged and dispatched him, walking right into a trap! Ridd continued his assault on the Cleric While Mordoc finished off the sailors. Wispher on a lucky shot stunned the Captain and pummeled him to death.
We all felt the battle was won until Wispher was Pinned by a Huge Grasping hand. Ridd and Mordoc wailed on the Cleric, taking heavy damage in the process.
At the last moment when the battle could’ve went either way, Fenia decided it was past time for her to stop honoring her oath to the Stonecutters! She released Wispher and Destroyed the cleric.
Ridd’s quick thinking repaired the boat and we turned it north heading toward Windpass Keep with all of our newly accquired goods.
The time for begging is over. We want to know our past and no one seems determined to give it freely… So We Will Take IT.
